Profile
Bryan Ellis is a graduate of the New Zealand College of Massage, Auckland, New Zealand. He holds Diploma's in
Health Science in both Therapeutic Massage and Sports Therapy (2010). Bryan is currently completing the final
year of a Bachelor of Health Studies in Massage & Neuromuscular Therapy, after acquiring an interest in working
with jaw dysfunction and chronic pain.
Bryan is the newest addition to the team at Lifestyles Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy Clinic, and for the last
two years has worked alongside other exercise professionals at a Health and Fitness facility in Auckland.
A personal discovery of the mental, physical and emotional benefits of regular treatment massage, led Bryan to
study towards a career where his interest and knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics could be utilised.
He has 21 years personal experience in weight, cardio and gym-based training, and understands the principles of
effective training and nutrition. This has assisted him in working with top athletes in the NZ Breakers, Gold Coast
Titans, Auckland NPC Rugby, as well as regional representative and social - runners, netball and hockey teams.
Bryan takes a holistic approach to help clients to be more aware of all aspects of their body in relation to pain,
tension, or injury. He investigates the cause of dysfunction, assesses the contributing factors and plans a series
of treatments to correct postural, biomechanical and stress related issues. Bryan enjoys the complexities of working
with athletes who rely on their bodies to perform at their potential, as well as the general public who need to
de-stress and be re-educated in how to better their health and wellbeing through manual therapy, nutrition and exercise
prescription.
