Profile
Conner Bond holds a Diploma of Massage Therapy (2010) from Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in
Canada who are renowned for their high standards of technical and professional training.
Massage therapy is government regulated in Ontario, Canada, where therapists are required to undergo
two years (or 2200 hours) of training followed by assessment and strict licensing. In Ontario massage
therapists commonly take on the role of health care provider for injuries and pathologies often
treated by osteopaths or physiotherapists in other parts of the world.
Conner’s interest in the human body and it’s systems is highly influenced by his combined 15 years of
experience in judo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and strength training. This experience has helped Conner
develop a strong kinetic understanding and affinity for joint mobilisation (articulation).
Conner has a particular interest in myofascial release and it’s effectiveness in resolving postural
imbalances and chronic pain patterns. He addresses musculoskeletal issues from a “whole person”
perspective, taking into account posture, compensatory changes and effects along the kinetic chain
as well as lifestyle, occupational and emotional factors.
His specialities include: pelvic alignment, upper cross syndrome (computer posture), athletic
performance, relieving tension and pain, RSI/OOS, hand, wrist and forearm issues, injuries,
chronic pain, scar tissue, upper, middle and lower back issues, and peripheral neuropathies.
Conner utilises lymphatic drainage and other gentle techniques to treat freshly acute injuries
and swelling.
As part of his training in Canada, Conner completed over 250 clinic hours, many of which were
in speciality clinics. These speciality clinics included: Stroke Survivors, The Elderly, Cancer
Treatment Patients, Pregnancy and Sports. Safety for clients of all levels of health and medical
status is paramount during the treatment plan.
Conner is a strong believer that recovery is a team effort between therapist and client and
strives to ensure clients leave with the knowledge to minimise exacerbation and maximise recovery.
